John Glass is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) with a Master’s Degree with an emphasis in recreation therapy. He has worked for the Sacramento Children’s Home for last 32 plus years as the Home’s Training & Recreation Therapy Manager. He has helped hundreds of children through the years overcome serious trauma by utilizing recreation therapy. The children have issues with self-esteem, anger control, depression, and social skills to name a few.

John has been a certified Pro-ACT Instructor (crisis intervention) for 24 years and a Facilitator of the Love & Logic Parenting Approach. He has his own training and consulting business focusing on crisis intervention, Love & Logic, teambuilding, social skill groups, CPR/AED/1st Aid, and respite care for all children, parents, and families, including foster and adoptive families.  John is also the current President and former Director of Education for the Recreation Therapy section of the California Park and Recreation Society. He is a board member of Joy’s Gift, a non-profit focusing on helping victims of sex trafficking and traumatizing abuse.

John has provided many trainings for a variety of agencies and organizations in California, Oregon, and Arizona.
